Community Thanksgiving Dinner
For the last seven years, Catholic Memorial High School has stepped up and dedicated the day before Thanksgiving to service for organizations in the greater community. This event brings together hundreds of students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff to dedicate their time to those in need. The day finishes with the CMH hosted Community Thanksgiving Dinner that serves over 200 people and has been going on for 30 years.
It’s a day designed for the entire CMH community to put their values into action and demonstrate Catholic Memorial High School’s motto “Caritas in Omnibus” – charity in all things by serving the greater community.
Helping the Community
Crusader Day of Service helps the community. Every year the Crusader Day of Service supports 20-30 organizations and provides over 1,500 hours of service to the community in a single day. Volunteers participate in various activities including making and delivering lunches to organizations serving the homeless including Hebron House and Salvation Army, making fleece blankets for shelters and hospitals, creating care packages for veterans and collecting and sorting donated shoes to send to children in Africa through Soles for Jesus.
